'Bhatts Have Made Money From Hamari Adhuri Kahani'
Mukesh says that they are proud of the film

Vishesh Films' head honcho says that it doesn't matter to him if Hamari Adhuri Kahani hasn't gone down well with critics. The Bhatts are laughing their way to the bank.

"We have made money. The film is doing well," he quipped, when we called him on Wednesday evening.

Elaborating on the break-up, he said, "I have sold the film's satellite rights for Rs 17 crore and the music rights for Rs 7 crore, and it has garnered 1 million dollar overseas. The film cost me Rs 34 crore. Hasn't it already entered the plus zone?"

Added Mukesh, "I have not made Hamari Adhuri... for people who have multiple affairs and abortions. I made the film for the real India. I made the film for the ladies who respect mangalsutra and karva chauth. And they are loving it. I have received appreciation for Hamari... which I haven't received for my last ten films. My company's brand has gone up by a couple of notches."

Recounting that Bhatts never hesitate to admit if and when their film flops, he further said, "Wasn't my brother Mahesh the first one to own up on social media about the fact that Mr X had failed? We are in film-making business since 1928, we have survived so long because we don't bulls***."
